Membership Categories, Eligibility & Fees (সদস্যপদের ধরন ও ফি কাঠামো)
Pursuant to Articles 4 and 5 of the Rules & Regulations of the Bangladesh Krishak Unnayan Society (BKUS), any male or female citizen above 18 years of age of good standing who adheres to the goals and policies of the organization may apply for membership. Applicants must be physically and mentally fit. Persons convicted in criminal cases shall not be eligible.
General Member | সাধারণ সদস্য
Admission BDT 50 | Monthly BDT 20
- One-time admission fee: BDT 50 (৫০ টাকা).
- Regular monthly subscription: BDT 20 (২০ টাকা).
- Full voting rights at the supreme General Council.
- Eligible to vote and contest for Executive Council positions.
- Recommendation from at least 2 Executive Committee members required.
Life Member | জীবন সদস্য
One-Time BDT 5,000 (এককালীন ৫,০০০ ৳)
- One-time lump sum contribution of BDT 5,000 or equivalent goods.
- Subject to formal approval of General and Executive Councils.
- Permanent voting rights and advisory role for the welfare of the Society.
- Priority access to society welfare initiatives and events.
Donor Member | দাতা সদস্য
One-Time BDT 3,000 (Validity: 5 Years)
- One-time contribution of BDT 3,000 (৩,০০০ টাকা).
- Membership remains valid for 5 years from admission.
- Full voting rights and advisory privileges in society affairs.
Advisory Council | উপদেষ্টা পরিষদ
Admission BDT 2,000 | Monthly BDT 200
- One-time admission fee: BDT 2,000 and monthly subscription: BDT 200.
- Approved by Executive Council to provide strategic guidance.
- Possesses voting rights and eligibility for executive leadership.
Cancellation & Restoration Rules (Articles 6 & 7):
Membership may be suspended or cancelled for non-payment of monthly subscriptions for three consecutive months, or unexcused absence from three consecutive council meetings. Membership may be restored by decision of the Executive Council upon showing sufficient cause and payment of arrears.
